FYI: Turkey dinner for seniors in Everett

The Everett Firefighters Association invites those 55 and older to its Thanksgiving Dinner Celebration on Sunday.

Seatings are scheduled for noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m. at the Everett Senior Activity Center, 3025 Lombard Ave.

Reservations are required; call 425-257-8780.

Please bring a nonperishable food item for a holiday food drive.

Recreation Pavilion marks anniversary

Mountlake Terrace celebrates the 40th anniversary of its Recreation Pavilion this month, with a party planned for Wednesday.

The event is scheduled for 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Pavilion, 5303 228th St. SW.

A 1968 nostalgia theme is planned, with a dance show, psychedelic costume contest, art show and "name that tune" contest. Those using the pavilion will be able to pay 1968 prices, including a 40-cent special swim from 5 to 6:15 p.m. and free Indoor Playground visits all day.

Tulalip Chamber meets Friday

"How To Present Your Business In A One-Minute Sound Bite" is planned for Friday at a Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber's Business Before Hours Networking Extravaganza, sponsored by the Salvation Army.

The program is planned for 7:30 a.m. at Tulalip Casino's Canoes Cabaret, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd.

Lions Club plans benefit crab feed

Lake Stevens Lions Club plans its annual all-you-can-eat crab feed for Saturday.

The event is scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. at North Lake Middle School, 2202 123rd Ave NE.

The price is $20 per person, with proceeds going to Lions Club community projects.

Sky Valley Food Bank needs cash

The Sky Valley Food Bank is collecting cash to pay for bulk purchases for Thanksgiving items such as turkeys and food items for people with special dietary needs. Mail donations to P.O. Box 724, Monroe, WA 98272.

Correction

The Everett Silvertips recently completed a road trip in which they won three games, lost one, and lost two in overtime. That totals eight points in the Western Hockey League standings. A photo caption on Page A1 on Wednesday misstated the Tips' record on the road trip.
