Seattle-based company makes skin-care products for pregnant women
Safer skin care: It isn't easy being pregnant. You're constantly worried the things you eat, drink and even breathe might adversely affect your little one. When it comes to skin care products, which are typically not tested for effects on fetuses, it's particularly hard to know what's safe.
Fortunately, Seattle-based Belli skin-care products has been on a mission since 2002 to safely pamper pregnant and breast-feeding women and their bundles of joy.
Founded in 2002 by a doctor and wife team, Jason and Annette Rubin, who created the products while they were expecting their son, Jackson, Belli now boasts three lines of specially tested products created without questionable cosmetics chemicals such as phthalates, which can imitate human hormones.
The Belli Pregnancy, Belli Motherhood and Belli Baby lines include numerous products including the popular All Day Moisture Body Lotion ($25), Eye Brightening Cream with Vitamin K ($37) and Calm Me Hair and Body Wash for baby ($18).
You'll find Belli products at Pottery Barn Kids, Mothers Work locations such as Motherhood Maternity, plus various boutiques and at Belliskincare.com.
