by Eric Fetters I first wrote about Sandlot Games last fall. At the time, the company recently had moved to the Canyon Park area of Bothell.
Now, as today's story reports, the company's "Cake Mania 3" is about to be unleashed.
After writing about Sandlot last year, I tried out "Cake Mania." Let me explain that I don't own a video game console and have never been one to play video games on a regular basis. I'm the perfect "casual games" user in that way. That said, I did find myself -- and still do -- addicted in short bursts to the game. It gets challenging, but not impossible, as you move up the levels. My 6-year-old son found it entertaining, though more challenging, as well.
Anyway, it's worth checking out the full range of casual, story-driven games from this local company. The company's games also can be found at ourWorld, a games portal run by Flowplay Inc. of Seattle.
