Dr. Christopher Beard has joined The Everett Clinic Family Practice team. He previously was with Whittier Presbyterian Hospital in California. Beard has a special interest in sports medicine, obstetrics and pediatrics.

Virginia Redden has joined Lynnwood-based Aecon Buildings Inc. as its newest contract administrator. In her new role, she is responsible for assisting the company’s project managers and superintendents in an administrative capacity and processing job-related insurance certificates and claims.

Richard Asher has been named Edmonds Community College’s dean of the humanities and social sciences division. He had been the division’s interim dean since 1999.

Angelique Leone has been selected to be the new director of development/executive director of the Edmonds Community College Foundation. She replaces former Foundation Director Larry Johnson, who is now capital campaign director of Lutheran Community Services Northwest in Burien.

Greg Tisdel has joined the board of directors at Everett-based Coastal Community Bank. Tisdel, a lifelong resident of Snohomish County, is the owner of Tiz’s Door Sales and also is the president of the board of directors for the Everett Community College Foundation.

Sally Tibbits, Barry Constant and Corbin Hammer recently joined the staff at Reid Middleton Inc. of Everett. Tibbits is a new project administrator for the firm’s Structural Engineering Group. Constant, who graduated from the University of Washington in 1996, is the newest certified Civil Professional Engineer in the firm’s Waterfront Group. Hammer, who interned with Reid Middleton last year, is an engineer in the Structural Engineering Group. Also, Gregg Vernon has been promoted to senior designer at Reid Middleton. In his new position, Vernon is responsible for creating construction documents and comprehensive drawings for building design.

Real estate agents Dan Thulin, Bob Grove, Tron Leaf, Bettina Paulsen and Genalin Bautista have joined John L. Scott’s Lynnwood West office.

David Goodkin, is the new vice president of development and chief medical officer for ICOS Corp. of Bothell. He formerly was vice president of clinical research at Amgen Inc.

Samuel L. Anderson, executive officer of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, recently was named Executive Officer of the Year among the 800 homebuilding associations that are part of the National Association of Home Builders.

Christian Lindmark recently joined Sparling’s technology consulting studio as a telecommunications consultant. He has more than six years of experience in technology consulting, design, construction and implementation.

Cypress MicroSystems has appointed George K. Saul as president and chief executive officer. He replaces Bob McConnell, who was reassigned to the parent company based in San Jose, Calif. Saul has more than 18 years of management and engineering experience at Hitachi Semiconductor and National Semiconductor. Most recently, he led two semiconductor startup companies, and was instrumental in the acquisitions of both.

A. Steven Holland has been named program director for University of Washington, Bothell’s Business Program, and Mary Baroni has been named program director for nursing. A graduate from Michigan State University with a Ph.D. in economics, Holland will oversee the undergraduate business and MBA programs at the school. Formerly a tenured professor at Southwest Texas State University, Holland also was an economist for the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis, Mo. Baroni, a graduate of Cornell University with a Ph.D. in human development and family studies, will oversee the undergraduate and graduate programs in nursing. She previously was director of nursing practice, education and research at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle.

Keith Whitman, an investment representative with the Lynnwood office of Edward Jones, has been named to the All-American Team of The American Funds Group of mutual funds. He was cited for outstanding service to investors and for financial expertise and dedication to “principles of sound mutual-fund investing,” according to a news release issued by American Funds.

Gene Kulinovsky has joined Windermere Real Estate’s Everett-South office as a sales associate. Kulinovsky is currently the CEO of Almaz Inc. He received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Moscow University. Bente Kleyla and Kristin Nygard have joined Windermere’s Lynnwood office as sales associates. Kleyla previously was a manager with US Travel in Seattle, and Nygard previously was the owner/operator of Kristin’s Processing Service in Mountlake Terrace.

Alan Fuhrman recently was named as the new president of Bothell-based Integrex Inc., an electronics manufacturing services company. He joined the company in March as a senior vice president in charge of business development, sales and finance.

Ten financial officers from area governments recently received the Professional Finance Officer award for 2002 from the Washington Finance Officers Association: E. Mary Lamb, an accountant with the city of Everett; Normal Wilds, clerk/treasurer with the city of Brier; Jeanie K. Daigneault, accounting technician with the city of Everett; Terry Davis, assistant finance director with the city of Arlington; Jayme Gill, accounting analyst with Snohomish County; Scott James, accountant with the city of Edmonds; Karen Clements, director of finance and administration with the Port of Everett; Dan Clements, director of finance for Snohomish County; Dan Dantini, treasurer for the county; and Scott Camp, fiscal analyst with the county.

Aaron Evan, Les Bruner and Jose Sanchez were named by Arlington’s Meridian Yachts as the leaders of the month during the second quarter. Bruner also was selected as the Second Quarter Leader at the company.
