ARCHITECTURE
Mary Claire Fraser has been named a principal in the architectural
lighting firm Candela, which has offices in Seattle and Lynnwood. She
will join principal Denise Fong in managing and marketing the firm.
EDUCATION
Jeffrey Leveroni has joined Edmonds Community College as its new
executive director for information technology. Previously a senior manager
for global remote support at Openwave Systems in Colorado, Leveroni has
more than 18 years of experience in information-technology customer support,
enterprise support, computing and Web services, and corporate technical
services.
ENGINEERING
Shane Cherry, division manager of aquatic resources for the Edmonds
office of Hart Crowser, has been promoted to principal with the environmental
and engineering consulting firm. He has been with the Seattle-based firm
since 1998. Biologist Cory Ruedebusch has joined the company’s Edmonds
office.
FINANCIAL
Jane Musoke has joined First Heritage Bank as an assistant vice
president and commercial lender. Musoke, a 1985 graduate of the American
Institute of Banking in Austin, Texas, brings 18 years of banking experience
to the Snohomish-based institution.
Debbie Bronson
has been appointed human resources director for Cascade Bank’s fifteen
offices. Bronson has 20 years of human resources experience in addition
to 25 years of financial institution experience. She attended City University
for her master’s degree in leadership.
HEALTH CARE
Caryn Morawek has joined Integrated Rehabilitation Group as its
marketing coordinator. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, Morawek
has more than 10 years of experience working with physical therapy clinics.
She will work from IRG’s corporate office at the Murphy’s Corner Physical
Therapy clinic in Mill Creek.
Surgeons Howard
Barker, Ralph Haller, Peter Kinahan, Jeff Mason, Richard Semon and
Clay Wertheiner of Everett Bone and Joint, Proliance Surgeons Inc.,
will become team doctors for the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club when the
team takes the ice this fall. Bob Hamre of Integrated Rehabilitation
Group will be the head athletic trainer.
Dr. Edward Eissmann,
board certified in orthopaedic surgery, has joined The Everett Clinic
orthopaedic team. He formerly practiced with Western Washington Medical
Group. Eissmann received his medical degree from the University of Nevada
and completed two residencies, one at the University of Nevada and the
other at Dalhousie University. He completed his fellowship in total joint
replacement at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. Jill Rider
also has joined the clinic’s orthopaedic team. She received her medical
degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed her residency
at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.
Judy Jenney, treatment
coordinator for the Cosmetic Dental Center of Amy Norman DDS, recently
celebrated her 24-year anniversary with the practice formerly owned by
Dr. Lynn Jones, maintaining a perfect attendance record.
Dr. Casey Culberson
has joined Mill Creek Family Dentistry in partnership with Drs. Bill
Mulliken and Brian Rutherford. He is a Mill Creek native who
is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
HOSPITALITY
Ken Rogers has been named director of catering sales for the Northwest
region for O’Callahan’s Catering and Event Planning. He previously was
the facilities and sales manager for the Marine View Banquet Center. In
his new position, Rogers will be responsible for developing and retaining
new business for the venues O’Callahan’s manages and operates, including
the Nile Golf and Country Club, Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Everett
and Naval Station Everett. His primary focus will be picnics and holiday
parties as well as helping clients with various offsite and onsite catering
and event planning needs.
MANUFACTURING
Mark Erickson is the new leader of the insulated concrete form
division at Smokey Point Concrete and Skagit Readymix. Erickson has been
with the company for four years in various jobs.
NONPROFITS
Marv Kastning, a longtime educator and Darrington resident, recently
was named to the Snohomish County Economic Development Council’s board
of directors, serving as a rural representative.
Providence General
Foundation recently announced its 2003 board officers: Chairman Ross
Miller, retired; First Vice Chairman Gary Weikel, Snohomish
County deputy executive; Second Vice Chairman Don Ayres, senior
vice president, Health Practice Partners; Secretary Karen Hanson,
retired; Treasurer Ray Morton, Brookstreet Securities.
The Edmonds Fire
Safety Foundation held its annual general board meeting recently to elect
its new board of directors. The members are: Chuck Cain, president;
Don Olsen, vice president; Gail Welfringer, secretary; and
Joy Cain, treasurer.
REAL ESTATE
Lynnwood-based real estate agent Greg Perry has placed in the top
1 percent in sales for John L. Scott Real Estate for 2002. The “Top 1%”
award goes to the highest-producing agents within the company. Of John
L. Scott’s 3,000 agents, Perry ranked fourth. He also was the number-one
listing agent overall in Snohomish County, where he specializes in residential
resale real estate.
Jim Hansen has
joined John L. Scott Real Estate’s commercial investment department. He
will be working out of the company’s Everett office.
Sales associates
Susan Boseck and David L. Omoth have joined Windermere Real
Estate’s Lynnwood office. Boseck previously was an account manager with
Navigant International in Seattle, and Omoth was a sales associate with
Washington Tax Service in Seattle. Angelique Whitford has joined
Windermere’s Everett-South office as a sales associate. She previously
was a marketing coordinator with Remax Metro Associates. Sales associates
Bob Chapman, Joe Fox and Nikki Harrison have joined Windermere’s
Lake Stevens office. Chapman previously was a real estate agent with Gary
Mann Real Estate in Moses Lake; Fox, new to real estate, is a minister
with Lake Stevens Community Fellowship; and Harrison previously was a
manager with Chadwicks Grill in Marysville.
RETAIL/SALES
Ryan Casey, a field sales manager with Vector Marketing Corp.’s
Everett office, was honored at a company awards banquet recently for exceeding
$200,000 in sales. The company sells cutlery directly to consumers.
Dale Preboski,
who recently stepped down as city of Everett spokeswoman, says she will
be dedicating her efforts to Beyond the Blue, her retail store at Hewitt
and Wetmore avenues in downtown Everett that features wedding gowns, formalwear,
art, jewelry, cards and gift items.
