All That Blooms & Japanese Textiles

| Biennial Japanese Quilt Exhibit features two unique exhibits with Guest Curator, Miwako Kimura. “All That Blooms” is an exhibit focusing on the quilt makers’ use of blossoms, flowers, plants and other nature to create quilts. “Japanese Textiles” is an exhibition of textiles showcasing the vast variety of colors, textures, and the process of dyeing, weaving and design. Athlete Development Program
|
Make the Varsity team? Get off the bench? Get back into the game? Or maybe just enjoy athletic participation more. No matter what, The Athlete Development Program at Everett Sports Performance Center assists athletes of all ages, sports, and skill levels in maximizing their athletic development and potential. With the areas largest team of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists, with collegiate Strength and Conditioning experience, and backed by one of the largest networks of Rehabilitative and Physical Therapists in the Northwest, we will bring you or your athlete to a new level of performance and confidence in sports. The training program is divided into two specific 60 minute sessions, available on the same day or on separate days.
Movement Development Program: Athletes will focus specifically in the development of multi-dimensional athletic movement categories, such as: Dynamic Flexibility; Speed and Quickness Development; Multi-Directional Agility; Biomechanics and Movement Efficiency; Reaction Improvement; Energy System Development; Balance and Stability Development; and Injury Prevention.
Strength Development Program: Certified Strength Training education in age appropriate/ developmentally based classes for all level athletes. This includes:Teaching correct Strength Training technique; Olympic Lift education for explosive power development; Total Body Strength Development; Core Strength; Joint Stability; Sports Specific Strength for continuous skill improvement and injury prevention.
Athletic development is a skill, just like throwing a football, kicking a soccer ball, or throwing the perfect strike. And just like those sport specific skills, it needs to be trained continuously for greater development. All members are tracked in our performance database and given monthly athletic assessments for definitive results. We offer multiple classes, an online scheduling system, and continuous staff education to guarantee we are always using the most up to date and proven training systems.

“Train with the Best” Whether it's skills coaching, off-season training, conditioning, speed & agility, coaches clinics, college promotions, little sluggers t-ball, junior sluggers or all sports training - we offer it all and we are the experts! Our specialized services are available for individuals, small groups and teams of all ages and skill levels. Established in 1999, Rijo Athletics has been recognized in the community and west coast as being one of the leaders in not just producing skilled athletes, but providing a positive and encouraging training environment for players of all ages. Our facility includes the ProBatter Video Pitching Simulator (we were featured in a story on Q13 with this), indoor batting cages and machines, a full weight room, an indoor speed & agility training area and a NEW state-of-the-art outdoor FieldTurf® field. There is also a convenient waiting area for families complete with comfortable couches, big screen TVs and free wireless internet access.
CAGE, FIELD AND FACILITY RENTALS: Our cages, field & facility is available year-round for rental. Please inquire for availability and current pricing.
LESSONS / CLINICS / CAMPS and MORE: We offer baseball and softball instruction for all ages and skill levels year-round for individual or teams. We instruct in hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, speed & agility, weights, conditioning and all sports training. Specialized clinics and academies are offered throughout the year. Many different options are available to fit your schedule and your budget.
OUR INSTRUCTORS: Our instructors have professional experience in playing, scouting and coaching, which includes the New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers. | Explore the natural wonders of Skagit County through letterboxing. Local conservation organizations have partnered to hide 16 letterboxes all along the Skagit River Watershed, from the North Cascades National Park in the east to Washington Park in the west! Each box contains fun educational materials about the watershed, along with a notebook and ink-stamp for trading stamps. Clues available at Skagit County public libraries and www.skagitwater.org. |
